Due to courier delays, some deliveries may take a little longer than usual to arrive. We appreciate your patience and understanding during these challenging times for our wonderful drivers.
Delivery included in all hampers
The cost of standard delivery within New Zealand is included in the price of the hamper (and in the relevant packaging option, i.e. eco box, linen box, small or large basket, in the 'build your own' hamper section).
Delivery time frames
We use a very reputable courier company. The following are the usual time frames for the delivery service which is included in the price of the hamper.
- North Island: 1-2 working days.
- South Island and Waiheke Island: 2-3 working days.
- Rural delivery: an additional 1-2 working days.
If your order is particularly urgent or requires a firm delivery date, please contact us to discuss what is possible.
Standard deliveries are not made at the weekend so orders received at the weekend will be picked up for delivery on the next working day.
Please note that by law alcohol cannot be delivered on Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, or before 1pm on Anzac Day.
We use a 'non-signature required' option as our standard courier service. This means that the courier company will leave the package in a safe place and you do not need to be home to receive the package. Based on customer feedback, this type of service is preferable to ensure fastest delivery.
If you require someone to be home to receive the package, please include SIGNATURE REQUIRED in the Order Instructions section on the Checkout Order Confirmation page. We do not charge extra cost for this service. If the recipient has had issues with mail being stolen, please request signature required.
If the courier company does not believe that there is a safe place to leave the package, or you are not home and have selected signature required, the driver will leave a 'Card to Call' so that the recipient can contact the courier company to re-arrange delivery.
Unfortunately we are not able to guarantee that the delivery notes in your order instructions (e.g. climb the fence, subdue the dog with a snack and place the delivery in the rat-infested back shed) will be followed by the courier company, but we will be sure to pass them on to the courier.
Please note that we are unable to deliver to PO or private boxes and we don’t take responsibility for incorrectly supplied addresses, or non-delivery due to addresses without access, or safe access, points.
We don’t charge extra for rural delivery (even though it costs us more) but please make sure that you clearly state in the address (or order instructions) if it is a rural delivery address, so that we put the correct courier ticketing on your package, and avoid delay in delivery. You can enter the address here to ascertain whether it is a rural delivery address (the search result will say "This is a rural address").
Sorry, we do not allow pick ups as we are an online business only, and our liquor licence doesn’t allow it.
